Motorcycle Safety
IAW Post Policy, DODI 6055.4 and AR 355-85, all motorcyclists who enter Fort Jackson will be required to wear (at a minimum) the following personal protective equipment (PPE):

1) DOT approved helmet
2) ANSI approved Eye Protection (goggles or attached face shield)
3) Long Pants
4) Long Sleeved Shirt or Jacket
5) Full Fingered Gloves
6) Leather Boots or Over the Ankle Shoes
7) Brightly Colored Reflective Vest - (Click Thumbnail to see enlarged view)

 In addition, all motorcyclists must have attended a Motorcycle Safety Foundation Rider Course.  Motorcyclists will be checked at the gates for proper documentation.

Soldiers who need to attend an MSF course can coordinate with the post safety office, (803) 751-6004.  The course is provided to soldiers at no cost.
