The Fort Jackson post laundry is contractor-owned and contractor-operated by Crown Contact Services of Pensacola, Fla. Two annexes are also available. One is in building 3230 on Sumter Street, between the orderly rooms of Company A, Training Center Command and the Military Police Company. It is open Monday through Friday, 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. The other annex is near the corner of Jackson Boulevard and Forest Drive; it is open 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Friday. Soldiers, family members, reserve components and retirees are authorized to use the laundry facility. The following services are offered: same-day service (in by 9 a.m., out by 4 p.m.); 24 hour service; and regular service 72 hours. Prices will differ depending on the service requested. Dry cleaning and BDU starching services also are available. The Army and Air Force Exchange System operates a launderette in building 10440, that is open 24 hours a day. |
