Environmental Compliance Officer "long" course

     The Environmental Compliance Officer Course is a 2-day course for appointed Environmental Compliance Officers (ECOs) which are require for every unit down to the company level or each activity according to FJ Regulation 350-14. 

     The course will familiarize ECOs with the pertinent environmental and natural resource regulations and provide instructions for complying with these regulations. The course is conducted quarterly in  the conference room of building 2562.  To sign up, contact the DLE-ENRD Office Automation Specialist at 751-5011 or via e-mail at gillemp@jackson.army.mil.

Environmental Compliance Officer "short" course
The ECO Course for Administrative Personnel is a 3-hour course for ECOs that work in an office, classroom, store, or warehouse. This "short" course covers those subjects applicable to administrative personnel but does not cover subjects pertaining to range activities or industrial work.  The course is conducted quarterly in  the conference room of building 2562.   To sign up, contact Mrs. Pauline Gillem at 751-5011 or via e-mail at gillemp@jackson.army.mil.

HAZCOM
The Hazard Communication (HAZCOM) Class is a 3-hour class for personnel who use, store, or transport hazardous chemicals or could be exposed in their workplace (i.e. office workers adjacent to a painting shop). This class meets the requirements of 29 CFR 1900.1200. Students will learn about chemicals, the safety and health risks they present, and how to control these hazards. The class is conducted the last Friday of each month in the Safety Office, Building 3290. To sign up, contact Mr. Sean OBrian at 751-2542/6004 or via e-mail at obrians@jackson.army.mil.

HAZMAT
The Hazardous Materials (HAZMAT) Familiarization and Safety in Transportation course is conducted on site at the unit or activity.  If this CD-ROM course is not present at your education center, one can order it through  www.dac.army.mil.  After registration at that web site click on the "Training Courses" link under "Available Products".  Then click on the "Course Catalog" link.  Choose the "(AMMO-67) HAZMAT Familiarization and Safety in Transportation" link. This will take you to the order page for this CD-ROM.  When the four hour course is completed the student will be allowed to print out a certificate of completion which will serve as the appropriate paper work for ammunition transportation.
