EMPLOYEE ORIENTATION CHECKLIST
(To be provided to supervisors of NEW employees)

New employee deserves a sincere welcome and a thorough orientation to their new assignment.  This orientation should stress the importance of the work they will be doing by outlining the policies and procedures of the organization.  This orientation and your personal involvement will help your new employee become familiar with your organization.

The checklist provided below is recommended for use during the orientation.  It is not intended to limit your discussion with the employee since there may be other areas you may wish to cover.  Some items require discussion immediately, such as the work the new employee is to do, leave procedures and duty hours.  All items should be covered within the first thirty (30) days of duty.

Employee should initial each block upon completion of discussion. When finished, you and your employee should sign the checklist, which may then be filed in your Supervisor’s Employee File.
