Captain Scott was commissioned into the United States Army as a Field Artilleryman on 15 May 2003. He attended the Field Artillery Officer Basic Course (FAOBC) at Fort Sill, Oklahoma.
Captain Scott has served in the following leadership positions: Fire Direction Officer, Platoon Leader, Executive Officer, and Battle Captain (Mosul Iraq) at 1st BN-321 FAR (ABN), Fort Bragg NC. He later served as an Advisor on a Military Transition Team in Mosul Iraq. His last assignment was an Assistant Professor of Military Science at Virginia State University.
Captain Scott military education consist of the following: Airborne School, Army Maintenance Management Course, Air Movement Officer Course, Level 1 Army Combative, Field Artillery Captain’s Career Course and the Instructor Training Course. He has earned his Bachelor’s Degree in Business Marketing from Virginia State University, Petersburg VA.
Captain Scott awards and decorations include: Army Commendation Medal, Army Achievement Medal, National Defense Service Medal, Iraq Campaign Medal, Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, Joint Meritorious Unit Award, Army Valorous Unit, Army Superior Unit Award, Parachutist Badge, Irish Parachutist Badge, and the Combat Action Badge.
