CPT Robert E. Sheffey II is from Bristol, Virginia. He enlisted into the Army in September of 2005. He attended Basic Combat Training at Fort Jackson, SC. He attended college at the University of Texas at El Paso where he earned a Bachelor of Arts majoring in History. CPT Sheffey was commissioned as a Second Lieutenant from Officer Candidate School in Fort Benning, Georgia.
His previous duty assignments include: Intelligence Officer for 70th Engineer Battalion, 3rd Brigade, 1st Armored Division in Fort Riley. He deployed with 70th ENG BN in service of Operation Enduring Freedom where he also served as an Area Clearance Platoon Leader and Route Clearance Package Platoon Leader. Upon returning from Afghanistan he continued his service in 2nd Engineer Battalion, 36th Engineer Brigade as both an Headquarters and Headquarters Company Executive Officer and Battalion Assistant Operations Officer.
CPT Sheffey’s Military Education includes the following courses: Engineer Officer Basic Course, Aviators Captain's Career Course, Modern Army Combatives Level 1 Instructor Course, and Survival Evasion Resistance and Escape Training
CPT Sheffey’s awards and decorations include the Bronze Star Service Medal, National Defense Service Medal, Afghani Campaign Medal with 1 numeral, Global War on Terrorism Expeditionary Medal, Army Service Ribbon, Overseas Service Ribbon with 1 numeral, and the NATO Medal – ISAF. He also was awarded a Meritorious Unit Citation for service in Afghanistan under 70th ENG BN.

First Sergeant Mohead, originally from Georgia, entered the Army 16 AUG 1989 and reported to Ft Jackson, SC to train as Personnel Specialist (42A). His past assignments include Personnel Specialist, 9th PSB, Ft Lewis, WA, Personnel Specialist, 24th PSB Ft Benning, GA, Personnel Sergeant, 516TH PSB Teague Korea, PAC Supervisor, 3-6th FA Fort Drum, NY, Detachment Sergeant 90th PSB Kaiserslautern Germany, ANCOC Senior Writer/developer SSI Ft Jackson, SC, Team NCOIC 5th DIV LOG MITT, Iraq and his most recent assignment as the S-3 NCOIC 3-13th IN, Ft Jackson, SC. He has deployed to Baghdad (OIF1) and Baqubah (OIF7/8) Iraq, in support of the Global War on Terrorism. His Military Schools Include: Air Assault PLDC, BNCOC, ANCOC, Battle Staff Course and the Initial Entry Training Company Commander’s and First Sergeant’s Course.
