We're anticipating that the Basic Training Cycle which began on Monday the 12th of September 2011, Family Day Activities on theWednesday the 16th of November 2011 and Graduation on Thursday the 17th of November 2011.

Specific times and locations will be provided in the coming weeks. Parents, friends and family members whom the Soldier provided home addresses for will receive a series of letters from their Soldiers Company Commander, First Sergeant and both myself (LTC Allen, the Battalion Commander of 3-60th Infantry) and Command Sergeant's Major Newman. Our letters will provide details and coordinating instructions with regards to Family Day and Graduation Day. My best advice as a Soldier who attended Basic Training 27 years ago, is to write and write often. Sometimes a mere letter is what gets a Soldier through to the next day. Your loved one is in good hands and with the right attitude, physical prowess and motivation he/she will graduate on 17 November 2011 and become a member of institution and Brotherhood which has existed to defend our Nation and its Allies for 235 years.
