CPT Rivera enlisted into the Army in 1992. He attended Basic Training, and AIT at FT. Leonardwood, MO. As an enlisted Soldier he has been on deployments to Saudi Arabia, Kosovo, Iraq, and has held a wide spectrum of positions from mechanic, Plt. Sgt. to Task Force Motor Sgt. After his tenure as an enlisted member he was commissioned as a 2nd Lieutenant in Ordnance in August of 2005 from OCS. His first assignment was to 3-13th IN BCT Fort Jackson, SC where he served as a company executive officer. CPT Rivera is currently assigned as the Company Commander of Alpha Company, 2nd Battalion, 60th Infantry Regiment.

1SG Landon T. Sahagun enlisted in the United States Army in August of 1997. He received his Basic and Advanced Individual Training at the Infantry School of Fort Benning, GA. During his 13 years of service, 1SG Sahagun has held every leadership position within the 11 Charlie MOS which includes: 60, 81, and 120mm gunner; squad leader; Fire Direction Center Chief; Section Leader; Mortar Platoon Sergeant, and Infantry Platoon Sergeant.

His previous assignments include 1st Battalion 15th Infantry Regiment, 3rd Brigade, 3rd Infantry Division; 1st Battalion 508th Infantry (ABN), 173d Airborne Brigade; HHC 2nd SBCT 25th Infantry Division; and 1st Battalion 14th Infantry, 2nd SBCT, 25th Infantry Division.

Throughout his career, 1SG Sahagun has distinguished himself by earning the title of Non-Commissioned officer of the year for the 1-508th INF ABN, 173rd Airborne, and the Southern European Task Force NCO of the Quarter. His deployments include two tours in Iraq; one tour in Kosovo and a plethora of other intrinsic deployments all over the world. He is a graduate of Basic Infantry Combat Training, The Airborne course and the Infantry Mortar Leaders Course. He is also a graduate of the Warrior Leader’s Course, Basic Non-commissioned Officers course, Maneuver Advanced Non-Commissioned Officers Course, Commander First Sergeant course and the Department of the Army First Sergeant’s Course, all of which graduating in the top 20 percent of his peers.

1SG Sahagun’s awards and decorations include: The Bronze Star Medal; Army Commendation Medal (with silver oak leaf cluster); Army Achievement Medal (with four bronze oak leaf clusters); Good Conduct Medal (4th Award); National Defense Service Medal; Armed Forces Expeditionary Medal; Global War on Terrorism Expeditionary Medal (with arrow head); Global War on Terrorism Service Medal; Iraq Campaign Medal (with star device); NCO Professional Development Ribbon (with numeral 3); Army Service Ribbon; Overseas Service Ribbon; Parachutist Badge with bronze combat jump device; Combat Infantry Badge; Expert Infantry Badge; Italian Parachute Badge and the German Armed Forces Military Efficiency Badge. He is currently serving as First Sergeant of Alpha Company, 2nd Battalion 60th Infantry Regiment.
