Basic Rifle Marksmanship (BRM) starts for Delta Company, as the Soldiers have their first opportunity to shoot their individually assigned weapons. BRM is conducted in over half a dozen ranges and in multiple electronic simulations as the Soldiers' proficiency with their rifle is increased.

Next week the Soldiers will shoot practice qualification and then actually qualify on their individually assigned weapon. Qualification is a graduation requirement.

Today, Delta Company Soldiers are at their one day Field Training Exercise (FTX). Tonight they will sleep in the field in individual tents while utilizing noise and light discipline.

Soldiers in Delta Company arrived to the unit on 25JUN11 and have entered "Red" Phase of Basic Combat Training. This phase includes immersion in the Army Values, tradition, Warrior Ethos, and ethics. It also include development of individual basic combat skills, teamwork, and Physical Training (PT).

This week Soldiers training includes Victory Tower, Team Development Course, basic land navagation, and classroom instruction.
