CPT Steven Akers, is a Logistics Officer, who has served in a variety of Logistic, Military Police, and Military Intelligence assignments. He is a 2008 graduate of the Logistics Captains' Career Course. He has also earned a Bachelors of Science in Criminal Justice from West Virginia State College.
CPT Akers operational assignments include OEF, OIF III, OIF V, Military Transition Team (MiTT) Logistic advisor in Iraq. He has served as BNS3 3-13th INF Rgt, Fort Jackson South Carolina; 3BDE 3ID Assistant BDE S4, 1-10 FA BN S4, UMO, BMO 3BDE 3ID. 203 FSB Shop Officer, Executive Officer, and Platoon Leader, 3BDE 3ID Fort Benning Georgia.
CPT Akers decorations include two Bronze Star Medals, the Army Commendation Medal, the Army Achievement Medal, the Army Good Conduct Medal, the National Defense Service Medal, the Kosovo Campaign Medal, three Iraqi Campaign Medals, the Global War on Terrorism Expeditionary Medal, the Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, the NCO Professional Development Ribbon, the Army Service Ribbon, two Overseas Ribbons, CPT Akers is JSTARs Aircrew qualified, and Air Assault qualified.
First Sergeant Jaime Phillips entered the Army in October 1992, attending Basic Combat Training at Fort Benning GA, with an initial assignment to D CO 2nd Battalion, 505th Infantry at Fort Bragg, NC 82nd Airborne Division. Prior to arriving at 3rd Battalion, 13th Infantry regiment, First Sergeant Phillips served as a First Sergeant for B CO, 3rd Battalion, 13th Infantry Regiment, and 3rd Infantry Division.
First Sergeant Philips has held several positions, including Operations Sergeant, Platoon Sergeant, Squad Leader, and Team Leader. Previous duty assignments include 82nd Airborne Division, 3rd Infantry Division, 1st Armor Division, 2nd Infantry Division, 1st Cavalry Division and 10th Mountain Division, First Sergeant Phillips has also served in numerous overseas deployments, including Haiti, Egypt, Kuwait, Bosnia, Iraq, Germany and Korea.
First Sergeant Philips has earned numerous awards and distinctions throughout his career. These include four Bronze Star Medals, one Purple Heart Medal, one Meritorious Service Award, six Army Commendation Medals, two Army Achievement Medals, six Good Conduct Medals, Non-Commissioned Officer Professional Development Ribbon with numeral 3, National Defense Service Medal, Army Service Ribbon, Global War on Terrorism, Expeditionary and Service Medal with five stars, six Overseas Service Ribbons, NATO Medal, UN Medal, Presidential Unit Citation Award, Meritorious Unit Award, Valorous Unit Award, Combat Infantryman’s Badge, The Expert Infantryman’s Badge, Parachutist Badge, and he is a member of the Order of Saint Maurice.
