1SG Shane A. Cleghon enlisted in the army in March 1997 as an infantryman and attended OSUT at Fort Benning GA. His assignments as an infantryman include Fort Campbell KY, Fort Benning GA and Schofield Barracks HI. Where he served numerous position to include, Anti-Armor Squad Leader, Anti-Armor Section Leader, Rifle Squad Leader, Rifle Platoon Sergeant and Anti-Armor Platoon Sergeant. His experience includes a deployment to Bosnia (SFOR 11), and two deployments to Iraq in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom.
His military education includes Primary Leadership Development Course, Basic Non-Commissioned Officers Course, Advanced Non-Commissioned Officers Course, First Sergeants Course, Air Assault School and Air Borne School.
