Families and Friends of 2-60 Soldiers,
Happy Thursday from a 75 degree sunny Fort Jackson! Soldiers are adjusting to the long days that start before sunrise and finish well after sunset.
This week they have learned how to conduct the Army's physical training program, learn how to sleep with 50+ other Soldiers in a open bay( not so private), some have learned to overcome their fear of heights(rappelling off the 40ft tower), and begin forming and building their teams in the bay, platoon, and company.
It has been fun to watch. I have attached to downloads (see bottom of the 2-60 Pages column) Day by Day training events, so you can follow your Soldiers training. We have only listed major training events, so if you see nothing on a day your Soldier may be testing or be receiving classroom instruction, do not worry we are keeping them busy. Sundays, we allow Soldiers opportunities to attend worship services and then give Soldiers prep time to prepare for the upcoming week of training.
I hope this helps. Have Great Day! Keep those letters coming.
