Army Physical Readiness Test Pilot

What is the APRT

The Army Physical Readiness Test (APRT) is a proposal from the US Army Physical Fitness School to replace the current Army Physical Fitness Test (APFT) with a test that more accurately evaluates the ability of Soldiers to conduct critical battlefield tests.

Along with the APRT, we are also examining the possibility of including an Army Combat Readiness Test (ACRT) that would complement the APRT with actual battlefield task evaluations. As part of the study we will explore the feasibility of having both tests done annually or maybe only providing the ACRT requirement as part of the ARFORGEN unit cycle.
