VACATION BLOCK LEAVE
As the holiday season quickly approaches, we at the US Army Student Detachment are working hard to ensure your leave plans are successful. With the large amount of DA31s we expect to receive, here are a few notes to help us get these signed without delay:
OCONUS Leave requests are due to USASD NO LATER THAN 25 November 2013
LES AT Level 1 Training Certificate
SERE 100 Training Certificate
ISOPREP Training Certificate
CONUS Leave requests are due to USASD NO LATER THAN 9 December 2013
All documents must be submitted to SGT Cortes and 1LT Smith
EVALUATION PROCESSING DURING GOVERNMENT SHUTDOWN.
From HRC Evaluations Branch: “Currently the government shutdown is in effect. Evaluations processing will not occur during this timeframe. We will process reports in order of receipt upon return. For selection boards with established cutoff dates, for example: 4 Oct AC MAJ Chaplain, 11 Oct AC MAJ Army ILE (MFE, FS, OS), RC SFC, AC LTC/GS14 Command, 18 Oct RC CPT APL, we expect the cutoff dates to be amended and the boards rescheduled. We highly recommend that you continue to submit evaluations in accordance with the MILPER messages to prevent any unforeseen problems.”
On every Tuesday of each month Student Detachment will not answer phone call after 1300 - COB. We are using this time to process actions. Please feel free to continue sending emails.
Due to Personnel Shortage at Student Detachment both Personnel and Finance actions will require 3 weeks processing time. Submit all CONUS leave forms no less than 30 days out to allow for processing and 60 days for OCONUS leaves. If a leave form is not submitted IAW timeline above it will not be processed.

Security of Personal Information is one of our greatest concerns due to the high volume of personal information sent by email. Use only official email accounts when contacting Student Detachment. Utilize your Enterprise account, AKO account or a email account provided by a military, government or school organization.
